Anchor Points | Ep. 144 | When Your “Better Life” Becomes Your Kingdom

Have you ever tried to rebuild your life into something better, only to realize you might be placing yourself at the center instead of God?

It’s something that often creeps in quietly, especially around the New Year, when we're focused on goals, growth, and fresh starts.

We talk a lot here about living better, feeling more positive, and uplifting our day and those are good things, but sometimes even good goals can start to shift into something self‑centered without us noticing.

In this episode we explore:

  1. Why striving for a “better life” can secretly make you the center of your world
  2. How building your own little kingdom can distract you from God’s greater purpose
  3. What it really looks like to align your goals with His kingdom instead of just your comfort

Sometimes God doesn’t call us to abandon positivity or good habits, He calls us to reframe their purpose.
