Anchor Points: Why Quick Fixes Don’t Work, Even in Prayer.

Are you a “toss it out and move on” kind of person?

Same.

If you ever need help decluttering your house, I’m your girl. If I don’t know what it is, haven’t used it in a year, or can’t make sense of it—it’s trash. Done. Cleared. Instant results.

But… discernment? Patience? Not part of my process.

And when that mindset leaks into other areas—like health, healing, or even prayer—it can be a problem.

We want fast change. Clean slates. Quick answers.

But real transformation is rarely instant. And neither are God’s answers.

In this Anchor Point we explore:

  • Why instant results don’t always equal lasting impact
  • The trap of fast fixes in faith, health, and prayer
  • How to develop a more intentional, persistent, and powerful prayer life
  • A perspective-shifting quote from Charles Stanley you’ll want to write down

Scripture (NIV):

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” (Romans 12:12 NIV)

💬 Want to talk about it more?

Where in your life are you rushing for quick fixes instead of leaning into slow growth and deeper prayer?

And… what would it look like to bring patience into your spiritual process, especially when the answers take time?

Let’s talk about the process of prayer and the power of persistence. 👉 Join the conversation in the InSight Out Community on Facebook.

About the Podcast

InSight Out
Clarity for the mind. Joy for the heart. Truth for the times. Christian news, devotionals & podcast conversations to help us flourish.
Think, see, and live differently. By uncovering God’s truth and removing the blinders that keep us from seeing clearly, we are called not only to reflect on these truths when we rise, when we lie down, and in all we do, but to live them out in every area of our lives.

As Deuteronomy 6:6-7 reminds us, “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Faith is not meant to stay in our thoughts; it is meant to be lived out in action. What fills our minds and hearts shapes our lives, and what we truly believe must become evident in how we live. Together, we will learn what it means to live this out every day.

This is more than a podcast; it is a way of life, a call to see life InSight Out, to live as we were created to live, flourish as God intended, and build our lives on the rock-solid foundation of His Word. Why? Because how we live matters.
